Copycats blend in

by | Nov 29, 2021

If I had a dollar for every time I’ve been in a meeting and heard the words, “Well, the competition does this and is successful..”, well, let’s just say, I’d have over $100. Lol. Rich!

Now, I’m not saying there is anything inherently wrong with studying the patterns that make others successful. In fact, what I’m going to tell you is based on the patterns I’ve observed in the short period that has been my lifespan from some of the majorly successful companies in our world today. BUT… Copycats blend in. There’s a difference between being inspired by the strategy of another company and copying their campaigns completely.

You can learn from other industries, but when you start copying your company’s competition, you lose your identity. Your company needs its owns strong identity to stand up in the marketplace.
